As some of you know, my brother, who is only 21 years old, is currently training with the US Air Force here in Florida. I was on the phone with him the other night and he told me that on May, there is a possibility that he will be assigned to Baghdad, Iraq. For days now, i have been covered with just absolute fear. There is no certainty to that assigment yet, but so is the situation in Iraq, especially with Saddam Hussein's verdict. So until the war is completely over, my brother as well as the other servicemen who are in active duty are at the US government's disposal. If he is going, he is not going there to be in the frontline, but will be maintaining the base. But bases are bases and war is war. It has been truly a humbling experience to be given this life's test, where nobody absolutely has no control over anything, except for the Lord, and for that im so thankful.
PLease do pray with me..that if it is God's will, may he be stationed to another base, like Germany or Hawaii perhaps. Or if he is going to Baghdad, please pray for my parents, especially my dear mother, for i cannot imagine how heartbreaking this will be to her. We decided not to tell her yet because we dont want her to worry prematurely.
THANK YOU for your remembrance in prayer. Praise God for His grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in our weaknesses!

Amen... Just to make it feel lighter. Military bases are the safest places on earth.. My uncle used to work there, and it's heaven compared to "the outside world"... Even if it's in baghdad God bless ate

patulak na po ang kapatid ko for Iraq bukas, May 14. we were able to spend time with him , mejo bittersweet nga lang dahil khapon ang mother's day. pero purihin ang panginoon dahil answered prayer ang pagtanggap ng nanay ko sa balita at sa pagdi-deal sa lahat ng to. salamat po sa panalangin ng lahat at nawa'y ipatuloy nyo po ang pananalangin para sa safety ng kapatid ko.

super delayed update: my brother is safely back home since september..in one piece and without any bruise to all that i wasnt able to personally thank when i was there, thank you so much for the prayers!!
