PRAISE TO THE FAITHFUL GOD!
I am rejoicing and overwhelmed with joy for this beautiful sunday morning, my mother decided to go to church with me!
In the beginning of my christian walk, my mother was the greatest persecution i've ever had. I certainly remember those times when i have wept, bitter as bitter can be. I just could not believe that I was getting the kind of persecution from this woman who supposedly would give up the world for me. She was an intellectual and religious woman who held on to her Catholic faith because she so believed that it was that kind of faith which helped her family from the hardships of their life back then, from the war, the material lack, and the abandonment of her father. I personally witnessed of two ocassions where the true gospel was shared to her but she always refused, always stubborn and just would not let go of the religion that she knew all her life. Eventually she understood me, and the persecution stopped. I praise God for i know she saw of the transformation and the "good things" that this "new found religion" of mine brought to me. There were even times when i felt she encouraged me to thread on to my new faith, although she really made clear through her actions and words that what was good for me was not for her. And so even though i claimed that my family would eventually be saved, i've always wondered, sometimes almost to the point of doubt, how it would happen. So when she said the words this morning, without exaggeration, i was shaking becuase i did not know how to handle the incredible joy that i was feeling! I know im not assured of her salvation yet but this indeed is the beginning of a most wonderful thing that will ever happen to our family. please pray for her (her name is elizabeth), so that the enemy will never be able to snatch her from this path to a new life in Christ!

This morning as we were singing this hymn after the preaching, i wanted to sing it from the top of the mountains..for this morning was a showcase of God's faithfulness!

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

PRaise the Lord!!! I am greatly overwhelmed having known of that wonderful victory. I want to express my thanks through this song also...

kasama ko na naman po ang aking nanay sa service nitong nkaraang Linggo!! and the best part? i try to ask her to come wid me every sunday, but some sundays i probably forget, but this sunday..she said the words again, without me even asking.."anak, sasama ko sa inyo.." (wid my li'l sister) ansaya saya!!
