CALIRAYA, QUEZON – About 50 students of Laguna College of Business Administration (LCBA) taking Reserved Officer Training Course (ROTC) accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord And Savior last December 1 at First Infantry Battalion Training Camp.
As part of the program ROTC SAVES (Social Awareness and Volunteersim Enhancement Seminar), these undergrads were taught not only on the community service, leadership skills and team building but were also taught about the essence of a Godly leader which our country is currently in need. Pastor Angel Sumague taught the students about Godly Leadership using the basic Maxwell Principle. A team-building activity was also done using Toothpick Tower Game wherein the ROTC students learned the value of having a good and strong foundation.
Pastor Jovit Bumarlong shared the gospel after the film-showing entitled “The Crossing”. Students also went through a Mini-EGR were 9 LA brethren facilitated the said event including the “Symbolic Burning of Bondages”.
This is the second time that LA was invited in Caliraya to conduct a portion in a seminar where students should learn the spiritual matters of being a leader. The first one was during the month of September wherein 90 aspiring SK officials from various towns in Laguna attending the Youth Leadership Summit also accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
