PostSubject: Triune God   Wed Oct 18, 2006 5:20 pm

We are saved thru the grace of God, by faith, in the death and resurrection of God's begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

Does one's belief/unbelief in the Triune God will affect his/her salvation?

What yah think?

Most likely if you don't believe in a Triune God you won't believe in Christ as God, so if he is not God. Then what is the identity of the one who saved us?

Somewhat like that...

You're right bro!

But, how about those who believe in Jesus as God, however, also believe that Jesus is the Father and also the Holy Spirit? Dualism doctrine? Oneness?

Some also believed that Jesus is God, but a lesser God as compared to the Father. Jesus the Mighty God, but not the Almighty One.

Will they be saved also?

Yap, bro, you have a good point there.

Our belief in a Triune God is important in one's salvation. Kasi, kung tinanggap nga niya si Jesus sa kanyang puso as lord and Savior... ang tanong, sino si Jesus sa kanya? Tao? Then, kung tao lang si Jesus, how can Jesus save him? So, wala din...

Kaya sa mga BS/cell contacts natin, we have to encourage them to read the bible, starting with the book of John. And, they may ask themselves these two questions:

1) Sino si God dito (Father, Son, Holy Spirit)? Who is God in this chapter?

2) What does God wants me to do?

One may have faith... but that faith leads to eternal damnation.

Our faith must rest on what Jesus did on the cross. He died for our sins and He rose again on the third day. By God's grace, thru our faith in Him, we are saved!

Soli Deo gloria.

yung doctrine of the triune god is something that you can (and i believe you should) accept through faith.

kasi kung iisipin mo, at pag-iisipan mo ng pag-iisipan, mahirap talaga siya paniwalaan, at mahirap siya imagine. Very Happy hindi kaya ng powers ng utak ng tao hehe.

sabi dun sa isang christian radio station na npakinggan ko..trinity daw is likened to an egg..its got the shell, the white and the yolk but the entirety is called an egg and it cant be called an egg without either of the three. hala, di ko na maulit explanation pero in my mind it made sense nung npakinggan ko and to be honest it has been the most accurate analogy i've ever heard...

May "dialogue" experience ako about the trinity with an INC (Iglesia ni Cristo) member nang nagshare kami ng Gospel sa kanya ng kapatid ko. Mukhang d kilala ni nanay Lilia yung isang persona sa trinity, God the Holy Spirit. D nga siguro nagbabasa ng Bible for herself kaya ganon kasi nga binabawal e. Ang kilala lang nya ay si God the Father and si Jesus. Pero hiwalay yung dalawa. Kasi si Jesus ay sugo lamang ng Father -- a human (only) savior. I insisted that Jesus cannot be human only and that He is God because He accepted worship from among many Jews like when Mary washed and kissed His feet and yung sa triumphal entry. I told her that if Jesus is God and God the Father is God, then there are two Gods? But we only have one God! Jesus she said was not God. Why did He accept worship then? Sabi nya because daw He was from God but He was not God... Ang labo nya actually... In my mind I was asking God for wisdom as to what more to say. So I remembered Isa 9:6 "...And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace"... It surprised her that Jesus is also called "Everlasting Father." So it proves that Jesus and the Father are one and not just "one" in their purpose. Natahimik na sya at pinatuloy namin ang bridge illustration. She prayed the prayer of acceptance and answered heaven when i asked her where she was going when she dies. Pero every time I went to her house for Bible study, she is either not around or asleep. I actually forgot about her until now. I think I can still continue praying for her and her family.

And about sa Isa 9:6, Jesus is also called "Wonderful Counselor". And "Counselor" refers to the Holy Spirit. Isa 9:6 speaks about the Triune God.
